Finding the right mental health support

Across Brighton and Hove, there is a range of mental health support available. However, we know that it can sometimes be difficult to find out information about services, know how to access them and know which ones are right for you.

One of our key aims is to ensure that no matter where people enter the mental health system, they can easily gain access to services that meet their needs.

Central Access Point team

To help you navigate and access Community Roots’ services, we have a dedicated ‘Central Access Point’ team of Community Navigators to respond to your calls and emails.

Our Community Navigators are a friendly, caring bunch who understand that taking that first steps to make contact for support regarding your mental health can be challenging.

"You put me at ease with everything, which was a breath of fresh air." - Caller to the Central Access Point

The team is based in Brighton and, as the first point of contact for the Community Roots network, are experts on the wide range of support available.

Community Navigators will talk to you about the support that the Community Roots network can provide and discuss how to refer you onto our partner services. They can contact partners directly on your behalf and they will then get in touch with you to arrange additional support. Community Navigators can also advise on useful resources available.
