About the service and what to expect
Please note: due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is likely that a modified service offer is in place. Please contact the service directly for up to date information - see the bottom of this page for a link to their website.
Switchboard is a charity for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) people looking for community, support or information. The team connect people and support them directly through specially developed Switchboard services or link them to other specialist organisations.
Switchboard’s helpline provides support and information to connect you to the right LGBTQ services or advice.
You can talk confidentially and anonymously about anything that is on your mind.
We support people with a range of questions and we believe that listening can help, whether you are looking for information and support or just need someone to talk to.
The helpline is open 7pm to 9.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
It is volunteer run and tries to ensure someone will always answer you. Sometimes this is not possible. If you are unable to get through, please try again.
For more information and to discuss accessing support that is right for you please call 0808 196 1768 to speak to a friendly member of our Central Access Point team. Alternatively, if you would prefer, you can arrange a callback.
