Southdown is a Sussex-based housing, care and support provider committed to preventing homelessness and supporting people’s health, wellbeing and independence.
About the Service
Southdown’s Preston Park Recovery Centre provides a welcoming and supportive environment in which people with mental health support needs can learn new skills and get involved in a variety of groups and activities. The Centre also provides access to a specialist employment service, a welfare benefits service and can refer onto other services as appropriate such as housing and health. There is also a café, free internet access and an art room. The Centre is open seven days a week including some evenings.
Recovery Action Plan
Our Recovery team provide individual support. Trained staff can support you to develop your own personal Recovery Action Plan to help you achieve your goals. You can use the Centre to meet friends or get to know new people too.
At Preston Park Recovery we provide a wide range of groups:
• Holistic health; ear acupuncture, shiatsu and homeopathy appointments
• Physical health; stretching (body & mind), yoga, tai chi and qigong
• Creativity; art group, craft group, poetry, writing, anti-stress colouring group, mixed media (clay, mosaic, felting)
• Peer group for voice hearers
• Also; singing and 1:1 computer tuition provided by a volunteer

To apply for support, please click here and complete our online referral form. One of the team will then be in touch with you.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement
In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, we are adhering to the social distancing advice set out by the Government and therefore Preston Park Recovery Centre is currently closed to our clients. We know that this can be an unsettling time and we want to assure you that our team will be offering telephone support to our clients to ensure that they still receive a service, as well as our new online activities detailed here.
