Assert supports Autistic adults in Brighton and Hove to lead full and rewarding lives and to reach their potential by providing diverse, high quality and person-centred support services and seeking to raise awareness of the condition.
One-to-one support, advice and advocacy for up to 7 hours per year
This could be on a range of topics and could include things such as: employment; housing; education; post diagnosis guidance; understanding the condition; advocacy with meetings, phone calls, letters; local signposting (internal and externally); general autism advice.
Fortnightly drop in coffee afternoon
A chance to get together and socialise at our new Assert afternoon.
Monthly 'Get Active' session
An opportunity to take part in supported physical activities such as badminton or rounders.
Community Engagement Worker
Community Engagement Workers provide one-to-one practical and emotional support for people with Asperger's Syndrome and High Functioning Autism to engage with the community and/or access treatment or services; read more about the Community Engagement Service here.
