Brighton & Hove Recovery College is provided by Southdown as part of the Community Roots network. The College offers educational courses as a route to recovery from mental health challenges. All courses are FREE and designed and delivered by people with lived experience of mental health challenges, together with clinical staff and other professionals.
In light of the current pandemic and Government guidelines, the College is unable to offer classroom-based workshops for the foreseeable future. Instead, for the upcoming Summer Term there will be a variety of online workshops to support people to manage in these current times and beyond. These will be delivered using online videoconference software called Zoom which is free to register for and download.
Starting Monday 18th May, the College will hold virtual online coffee and chat sessions, weekly games and quizzes, and art and craft sessions for students to join and become comfortable and familiar with using Zoom and interacting in this new online format. This will be a great opportunity to meet the Recovery College Team and decide whether you’d like to attend a workshop with us when the main term starts (details to follow soon).
