Brighton & Hove Recovery College is provided by Southdown as part of the Community Roots network. The College offers educational courses as a route to recovery from mental health challenges. All courses are FREE and designed and delivered by people with lived experience of mental health challenges, together with clinical staff and other professionals.
For the upcoming Autumn Term, the College will be running a variety of short courses and workshops along with a mixture of clinical sessions on topics such as hoarding, managing social isolation, exploring relaxation and non-clinical sessions such as arts and craft, script reading and weekly quizzes. They will be using online video-conference software called Zoom which is free to register for and download.
